A way of letting you choose from a selection of possible options. The checkbox is a small box displayed. If you want to select the option, move the pointer on to the checkbox and click once, the box will now have a cross in it. If you don't want the option, click a second time and the box will be empty. The main feature of a checkbox is that you can choose several options at once.
